What do you do in the summer time when the temperatures are above 100 degress? Well, Parker and Madison try on my knee hi nylons after doing a load of laundry.
Parker just finished his first session of swimming lessons and I think he is part fish. Although he has always loved the water and would just jump in no matter who was watching him. Some of the new things he learned was to dive for objects at the bottom of the swallow end pool. His teacher, Ms. Brandi, is awesome in teaching confindence in the water and just doing amazing things in just one week. We might just have a swimmer on our hands.
Blogging is still so new to me but I am learning new things. I had two friends tell me about making my blog spot more enjoyable through downloading backgrounds. It is fun. I might be changing it more often. It is sad though when Meghan is wanting to take over shaping my blog into hers. She is smarter than I am when it comes to the computer. I now know how my mom feels when your children start surpassing you in smartness in the electronic department. I am being to understand when Meghan says time on the computer pass too quickly, and two hours isn't enough time to do anything on the computer.
We took a short, little vacation after school got out. Jim wanted to go up to Idaho Falls to see his mom for a few days and I wanted to visit my sister in Rexburg. On our way there we spent one day at LAGOON in Farmington, UT. We had a blast. The weather was a bit cool but warmed up by noon on last Saturday, and the kids just went from ride to ride. We had to divide up so Meghan and Paige could ride all the rides they wanted to but we always had a meeting time to switch and redivide. IT WAS JUST GREAT. Parker loved the rides, Madison couldn't get enough of the rides, Meghan was very happy just to have the opportunity to have a great time and Paige wasn't really done when we had to go. I just loved watching and seeing the kids have a time of their life. This trip will be one to alway remember.
I just don't know where May went. It is June 2 and I have reviewed all that went on in May for our family. Two birthdays, one anniversary (16 years) and endless awards ceremonies for all three girls. It was just plain busy and I am looking forward to the end of this week when we as a family get to go to Utah and Idaho. We are taking our government stimilus money and playing at Lagoon for a day and then spending 4-5 days in Idaho Falls to visit grandma. It will be nice not to have to get up, get kids ready for school, and run around to errands like I do most of my weeks. We all need a break from all the routine of things. Summer is going to be busy with girls camp, efy, and making a visit to Durango for an visit to grandma and grandpa so we are ready to jump in and have a fun summer. Visit often because I am going to be better at posting things on the blog spot. Have a great day.
I am in my second year of my Master's program at University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I am studying Education Counseling. When I am not studying, I love to be with my family. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and enjoying a nice evening on my porch with my husband. I also love to scrapbook when I have time. I love to watch my kids grow and hope it doesn't go too fast.
